I just recently had an excellent experience buying my first home with Kara Grossman's help. From start to finish, Kara was a pleasure to work with and kept the entire process as relaxed as possible. After initially getting in touch with her through the DRS agency, she provided very thorough information about the home buying process and made sure to take the time to go over it all with me via phone (I was in Washington state at this time) as I worked on getting pre-approved for a loan. Once I received my pre-approval, Kara immediately had a search set up for homes in the areas I was interested in and within my budget. After looking at homes from the search, I made a weekend trip to Lansing to try to look at as many as possible. Kara made sure she was available over the entire weekend and helped me look at about 15 homes over 2 days. We then returned to the house I liked the most on my last day in Lansing to take a very thorough look at it. After leaving Lansing, I mulled things over and Kara gave me all the time I needed before I decided to make my initial offer. Things went almost exactly as she predicted after I made my offer and Kara fought for me to get the best terms possible for my purchase while also finding the right places to compromise. After reaching an agreement and getting under contract, Kara continued to be immensely helpful by taking numerous videos of the home inspection for me since I was not able to be there. In the nearly two months between the inspection/appraisal and my closing date, Kara also took the time to swing by my future house and make sure everything still looked good from the outside. It helped me stay very comfortable with my purchase. Closing on my house was quick and easy just like Kara said it would be, and since then she has continued to be willing to help me with any home issues and has been available for any questions. One other aspect to note, and one that I am really appreciative of looking back on the process, is that Kara only showed me homes within my budget and never once suggested I should look at homes above my stated budget. I know this isn't always the case with other realtors, but I am really happy I was able to find a home that stayed within my budget and it is a big reason I continue to feel great about my purchase. In conclusion, I would highly recommend Kara for any real estate transaction as I had a fantastic experience buying my first home with the help of her expertise.

Kara did not just want to sell a house. She made it a priority to find a home that would work well for us and our dog. She videotaped walk-through's and inspections (not just once, but multiple times) when I couldn’t be present. She was not pushy and didn’t try to force decisions upon us. Once we found a house we wanted, an offer was on the table as quick as possible. She was super excited when we, after 3 different offers, got what we wanted. After the closing, Kara still was there when I needed help. Our furniture wasn’t going to arrive for a few days so we were going to buy an air mattress. Kara bought over her own as well as a fan for us to use until our furniture arrived. She is always available for her buyers and sellers. She is not just my realtor, but a newfound friend. I would recommend Kara to anyone looking to buy a house!
